What we will need:
2 plastic or wooden bowls
Various jugs or cups to measure out the ingredients
Kitchen gloves (don’t look at us being bored and burning)
Wooden spoon or stick blender
Wooden mould or plastic or silicone moulds. The first 2 should be covered with waxed paper so that you can scoop out the soap
Vinegar (if you get soda or soap on your hands, vinegar will save you from a burn)
Ingredients for calendula soap – chamomile
1700 g. olive oil
300 g. coconut oil
25 g. beeswax
360 g. Water
269 g NOH caustic soda
12 g. turmeric for colour
Extras:
300 g chamomile flower water
30 g. calendula oil
70 g. chamomile oil
15 ml chamomile essential oil (optional)
Execution:
1. Weigh the water and add the baking soda. Mix well outdoors and allow it to cool.
2. Weigh the beeswax and add the coconut oil, which is butter under 25 degrees, and put them on the fire to melt.
3. We have weighed the oil and added the wax and coconut.
4. When the soda cools down, add the turmeric to dissolve it, mix them, the color becomes red…..
5. Pour the soda into the oils
6. After mixing well, add the flower water
7. When the soap makes “traces” and starts to make bubbles that don’t break quickly, then add chamomile and calendula oils.
8. Add the essential oil
9. Place in the moulds and leave for at least 24 hours before unmoulding.
